Saved By Adoption

Myth: Adoption is a great way to “save” or “rescue” a child.
Reality: Adoption is defined by mutual blessing – both being a blessing and being blessed. But the adoption journey is also marked with loss and pain as well as challenges. In the end, our motivation for adopting must always include a committment to love unconditionally – no matter what.

Great article! It is amazing how many people make that comment to me regarding what a great person I must be for adopting my children. I am a firm believer that God had a plan for my children all along. It wasn’t until I submitted to God’s plan that I in turn received the blessing that those children have brought to my life. Yes, it was a tough road, but I CAN’T imagine my life without them!
