I too have felt like Hannah's husband - and luckily My Life has been gracious and understanding to realize that I won't understand her desire and doesn't expect me to. The story of Zachariah and Elizabeth was helpful for me over the holiday season as I thought about the years they spent hurting and praying that God would bless them with a child. We've come to realize that a biological child may not be the answer for us but we're thankful that we're nearing the certification process for fostering a child (or two) and look forward to God blessing our family in ways we couldn't have imagined. I too have felt like Hannah’s husband – and luckily My Life has been gracious and understanding to realize that I won’t understand her desire and doesn’t expect me to.
